We would like to clarify the difference between Official Supporters Club (OSC) Singapore Branch Membership and the Manchester City Matchday Membership, as there has been some confusion following recent renewal emails sent by Manchester City Football Club.
1. OSC Singapore Branch Membership
This is the annual membership with the Manchester City Official Supporters Club Singapore Branch.
The annual branch fee covers:
Maintaining our official OSC branch status (with the majority of the fee payable to the UK).
Your annual OSC membership card.
A small annual souvenir (subject to the Club’s discretion).
Branch operating and administrative expenses.
Organising local activities such as match screenings, football sessions, and other community events.
Most importantly, an active OSC Singapore Branch membership allows members to apply for match tickets through the Official Supporters Club allocation. This is a significant benefit, particularly for:
Away matches where tickets are often difficult to obtain.
High-demand fixtures such as domestic cup finals, UEFA Champions League matches, and other major games where branch allocations may provide additional opportunities beyond the general public sale.
2.Manchester City Matchday Membership
This is a separate annual membership purchased directly from Manchester City Football Club.
A valid Matchday Membership is required to be eligible to purchase match tickets through Manchester City.
However, having a Matchday Membership alone *does not entitle* members to apply for tickets through the Singapore OSC. To access the branch ticket allocation, members must also have an active OSC Singapore Branch membership.
“`Recent Renewal Emails“`
Some members have recently received renewal emails from Manchester City Football Club. We understand this has caused some confusion, with members assuming they have already renewed their Singapore Branch membership.
To clarify, renewing your Matchday Membership with Manchester City does not automatically renew your OSC Singapore Branch membership. Likewise, responding to the Club’s renewal email does not complete your branch membership renewal. The Singapore Branch membership renewal will continue to be managed separately by the Branch Committee during our annual membership drive.
We appreciate that the timing of these communications can be confusing, and we sincerely apologise for any misunderstanding this may have caused.
Looking ahead, we will review our renewal timeline and explore bringing our branch membership renewal forward next season, ahead of the Club’s renewal emails. We hope this will provide a clearer and more streamlined experience for everyone.
